Unlike court judgments, arbitral awards are intended to bring disputes to a close without prolonged litigation. However, this does not mean that every award is beyond scrutiny. Similarly, MMTC Ltd. v. Vedanta Ltd. (2019) reiterated that Section 34 proceedings are supervisory in nature and not appellate proceedings.
